[personal profile] rhubarbjam posting in [community profile] creative_cooks
 Ingredients: (6-8 slices)

- 250g prawns (I used cooked prawns, but you can use raw)
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon of soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons of cornstarch
- 1 egg white

- 2 tablespoons of chopped scallions
- 3-4 slices of white bread, sliced diagonally
- Toasted sesame seeds
- Vegetable oil (or a similar neutral oil for cooking)

Tip: A thin fish-slice is an extremely useful utensil for this recipe!

Method:

1. Blend prawns, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, cornstarch, egg white together till smooth. Make sure to drain the prawns before adding them to the blender.

2. Mix in the scallions.

3. Spread prawn paste onto the white bread. Pour out some sesame seeds and press into them prawn-side down.

4. Heat a large glug of oil in a frying pan.

5. Fry prawn-side down for 2-3 minutes. Flip the toast and fry for an additional 2 minutes or until golden-brown.

6. Enjoy!
