INSTRUCTIONS
SOLID MOTIF (make 13 each in A, B and C)
Ch 2.
1st row: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Turn. 1 sc.
2nd row: Ch 1. 2 sc in first sc. Turn. 2 sc.
3rd and 4th rows: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
5th row: Ch 1. (2 sc in next sc) twice. Turn. 4 sc.
6th and 7th rows: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
8th row: Ch 1. 2 sc in first sc. 1 sc in each sc to last sc. 2 sc in last sc. Turn. 6 sc.
9th and 10th rows: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
Rep 8th to 10th rows until 40 rows in total have been worked and there are 26 sc in row.
Fasten off.



SANTA MOTIF (make 39)
Notes:
To change color, work to last 2 loops on hook, yoh with new color through last 2 loops and proceed, keeping color change to WS of work.
Carry colors not in use across top of previous row and work sts around it.
If 2 colors are worked in more than 2 or more rows one after another, carry both colors up side of work.

With D, ch 2. See Chart on page 3.
1st row: (RS). Bobble in 2nd ch from hook. Sl st in same ch as Bobble. Break A. Join B.
1st row of Chart complete.
Work rem of Chart, noting each square of chart is equal to 1 sc and reading RS rows from right to left and WS rows from left to right.
2nd row: Ch 1. 2 sc in Bobble. Turn. 2 sc.
3rd and 4th rows: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
5th row: Ch 1. (2 sc in next sc) twice. Turn. 4 sc.
6th and 7th rows: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.

Assembly: Using matching colors of aligning Solid Motifs, sew Solid Motifs and Santa Motifs tog as shown in Assembly Diagram on page 3.
Border: With RS facing, join D with sl st at top left corner of Blanket.
1st rnd: Work sc evenly around edge of Blanket, having 3 sc in every corner and sc2tog in every valley along side edges of Blanket. Join with sl st to first sc.
2nd rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc around, having 2 sc in center sc of 3-sc corner groups and sc2tog in every valley along side edges of Blanket. Join with sl st to first sc
Fasten off.


Fringe: Cut lengths of D 16" [40.5 cm] long. Taking 4 strands tog, fold in half and knot into fringe across Top and Bottom of Blanket. Trim fringe evenly.
