Dragonfly Bandana Cowl

This Dragonfly Bandana Cowl, as pictured, is made with just one skein of this beautiful Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable yarn, but the pattern can easily be adapted into a full-sized shawl. (Instructions for this can be found near the end of the pattern.) I estimate 3 – 4 skeins will be needed for a shawl.

Supplies:

One skein of Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable (270 yards) – I used the colorway called Stained Glass
Size Clover Amour 4.0 mm (G-6) crochet hook or size needed to obtain the gauge
Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Gauge in DC: 16 stitches and 8 rows = 4″ (10 cm)

Abbreviations: ch = chain, spc = space, sk = skip, sl = slip, st(s) = stitch(es), sc = single crochet, dc = double crochet

Special Instructions:

The beginning chain counts as the first stitch.
Instructions between ( ) or * are to be repeated the specified number of times.
Instructions between [ ] are all worked into the same stitch/space.

V-Stitch 1 (V-ST1): Work [dc, ch 2, dc] all in the same stitch/space.

V-Stitch 2 (V-ST2): Work [dc, ch 3, dc] all in the same stitch/space.

Picot: Ch 3, slip stitch in first chain.

Split Stitch: Working a split stitch means that you will be working into the center “V” of the stitch below, not into the top loops.
