Man’s Ground Beef Casserole

4 c. cooked noodles
2 lbs. ground beef
3 med. onions, chopped
1 can cream of mushroom soup
½ c. milk
1½ c. shredded cheese (cheddar or American)
2 tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper
3 eggs, beaten
PREPARATION
Brown ground beef and onions. In a 3- quart casserole arrange 1/3 of noodles, then ½ of meat-onion mixture. Add soup, that has been diluted with milk, Repeat with another 1/3 noodles and remaining meat. Arrange the remaining noodles on top. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Pour beaten eggs over cheese. Bake, uncovered, for 30-40 minutes at 350°. Top will be crisp.
**NOTE** I found this in my grandmother’s recipe box, from one of her daughters-in-law. I can’t remember her ever making it.
